I continually e-mailed different bloggers and pundits during this election cycle, so I decided it might be nice to create my own blog. While my views range from liberal to conservative depending on the issue, I have become an increasingly partisan Republican over the past four years and I rejected claims made by some fellow Republicans that somehow we would be better off if the Republicans lost both Houses. Unfortunately, the Democratic plan to retake both house came to fruition.

I found this somewhat troubling. In an article about John McCain, the liberal Newsweek reporter Jonathan Alter wrote, "He respects Michael Gordon of The New York Times, who got in trouble with his paper when he told Charlie Rose that the surge might work. (Had Gordon said it would likely fail, it's hard to imagine the Times rebuking him for editorializing.)"
